The brain, mind and cognitive function is fascinating to me.  I am a geek about anything that can increase my memory, improve the speed of my mind, improve my creativity, imagination or cognitive function in any way.  Why? I want to be extremely smart! I want to have the ability to learn a lot of information and retain it because learning, especially about health, wellness, green living and the mind-body-spirit connection is very important to me.

I recently read a book called Spark: The Revolutionary New Science Of Exercise And The Brain by John Ratey, MD.

In his book John discusses how exercise improves many functions of our health including:

* Balancing The Brain

* Builds A Bigger Brain

* Balances Hormones

* Grows The Hippocampus

* Improves Circulation

* Boosts Heart Rate

* And More!
