Snacking can be a huge downfall of a healthy lifestyle. Thankfully, you don’t have to go hungry between meals. Here are some great ways to keep your metabolism boosted with delicious and healthful choices. Some of these ideas are absolutely to die for and yet healthy as can be! Who knew snacking could be so yummy AND good for you?
1. Baked Zucchini Chips
Simply cut zucchini into thin slices, dip them in coconut oil and bake them at 225 degrees farenheit for 35 minutes.
You can season them with any spices or herbs of your choice.
Cinnamon flavored, garlic flavored etc. You can simply sprinkle the organic spices on after they come out of the oven.
2. Butternut Squash Chips
Cut butternut squash into thin slices and then back them in the oven with coconut oil for 25 minutes. Sprinkle Himalayan salt and season how wanted after they are done baking.
3. Brussel Sprout Chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees farenheit and crisp these in the oven for 7-10 minutes.
You can coat these in organic coconut oil and himalayan salt like the others.
4. Baked Apple Chips
Slice paper thin apple chips (you can use a mandoline for this as well as other recipes listed here) and bake at 225 degrees farenheit for 1 hour.
It’s best to dip these in cinnamon (maybe even at a pinch of brown sugar, but just a dab!) but a whole lot of cinnamon!
5. Radish Chips
Cut radishes into thin slices.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees farenheit, bake for 20 minutes.
Take them out of the oven, flip and bake for another 15 minutes at 225 degrees farenheit.
These can be seasoned with a few or all of the following spices:
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 1/4 tsp tumeric powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- generous pinch of himalayan salt
- pinch of cracked black pepper
6. Broccoli Chips
Cut the broccoli stems into slices, preheat oven to 300 degrees farenheit and cook for 35 minutes. You can marinate them in coconut oil and sprinkle himalayan salt on top.
7. Kale Chips
There are many different kale chip recipes online that you can try. My personal favorite recipe is the cheesy kale chips recipe from EdiblyEducated.com, you can check it out here, these are vegan, spicy and delicious!
8. Turnip Fries
Cut turnip into the shape of fries.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Bake for 30 minutes (while flipping to evenely cook)
Add a gravy or sauce of your choice, along with himalayan salt!
Add Chives on top 🙂
9. Asparagus Fries
Preheat oven to 375 degrees farenheit.
Marinate with organic coconut oil.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until edges are slightly crispy.
Create a sauce to dip them in! (roasted garlic/lemon sauce or sun dried tomato sauce go great!)
10. Beet Chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees farenheit.
Cut beets (gold or red beets) into thin slices.
Marinate in coconut oil.
Bake for 15-20 minutes (until beets become dry and lightly crispy)
Add himalayan salt, enjoy!
11. Zucchini Fries
Marinate in coconut oil.
Bake at 400 degrees farenheit for 20 minutes.
Add himalayan salt, enjoy!
12. Daikon Radish Chips
1. Preheat broiler. Spray a baking sheet with olive oil and lay the radish slices down. Spray the tops with olive oil.
Broil for 5-8 minutes until just beginning to brown.
Flip and broil second side 5-8 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
13. Carrot Fries
Peel and slice carrots into french fry shaped pieces.
Toss carrots with olive oil, salt and pepper. Arrange carrots in a single layer on baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes then flip each carrot fry. Continue to bake until fully cooked and slightly crispy, about an additional 10 minutes.
14. Banana Chips
Marinate in coconut oil.
Bake at 250 degrees farenheit for 1.5 hours.
15. Green Bean Fries
Dip the green beans in orgranic breadcrumbs, onion, garlic and cayenne powder (to your liking)
Cook in the oven at 350 degrees farenheit for about 5 minutes with the mix on it.
Dip in organic ketchup or your favorite sauce!
16. Cheesy Spinach Chips
Can season with: Chili Powder, Cumin, Garlic Powder, Nutritional Yeast
Pinch of Himalayan Salt and Pepper
1. Pre-heat oven to 350°F.
2. Add spinach to a large bowl. A large bowl is better so the fairly delicate spinach leaves have space to mix. Add enough oil to lightly coat the spinach, don’t drench it. Mix spinach gently, scooping around the sides of the bowl.
3. Add seasoning, gradually while mixing.
4. Bake for 10 – 12 minutes.
17. Ants On A Log
Cut a celery stalk into half and line them up!
Fill them with any organic nut butter (almond, cashew, sunflower, peanut)
Add raisins, cut up dates, figs or other chewy and delicious fruits.

18. Banana Chocolate Almond Butter Bites
Spread organic almond butter in between them.
Drizzle organic dark chocolate over them.
Enjoy!
19. Granola Peanut Butter Apple Sandwich
spread peanut butter on each of the two sides.
Sprinkle granola (and raisins) in the middle.
Enjoy!
20. Make Your Own Trail Mix
Get your favorite organic nuts, raisins, berries and mix them in a jar… leave it on your counter and snack on!
