Recently I was reading Dr. Andrew Weils blog and found a very interesting article that talked about how you could cut calories without eating less. I was intrigued so I read the article and found it very interesting. You can read the article here or watch my video summary of it here:

The study from Texas Christian University basically found that eating slowly cuts calories. They had 70 participants in the study, half obese and half at a normal weight. They found that the normal weight participants consumed 78 less calories by eating slower and the obese participants consumed 58 less calories by eating slower.

They also found that the participants were less hungry an hour after the slow meal whereas they felt hungrier after the fast meal an hour later.

You consume less calories and have less of an apatite simply by eating slower, there’s two good reasons to eat slower for your health, so eat slower starting today!
