Recently i’ve been researching the senses, and how they influence our health and levels of stress in life. We are constantly flashed new stimuli that causes our senses to be overly-stimulated and tired. Our sense of hearing hears traffic, horns, commercials, music, arguing or yelling, laughter, and so much more. Our vision is flashed lights, bright colors, to get our attention to buy the next best product on the market.

Our sense of smell is bombarded with car exhaust, which contains many compounds harmful to your health as well as heavy metals. Our sense of smell also picks up perfumes, scents, the smell of food, the smell of smoke from a fire. Our sense of smell is a gifted sense that is 10,000 times more sensitive than any other sense. The sense of smell directly connects with the environment around us and our brain chemistry is instantly altered by our sense of smell, whereas our taste buds or other senses have to be processed via the digestive system, through neurons up the spinal cord to reach the brain to change brain chemistry.

The sense of smell is a tool that you can use to your advantage to calm the nervous system and have it transition from a sympathetic state back to a parasympathetic state, as well as balance brain chemistry and ensure that stress hormones aren’t being released as much or as often simply because the nervous system and brain chemistry are not signaling for stress hormones to be released.

By biohacking (influencing your biology) your sense of smell, you can de-stress and create a peaceful environment to relax and rejuvenate after a long day of work. In today’s video, i’m going to share with you how the sense of smell works, how it influences your health, stress and overall sense of well-being. You’re going to learn what you can do to influence this sense and tilt the odds in your favor to feel great and create a harmonious balance between your nervous system, brain chemistry and hormones.

As you can see, your sense of smell has a bigger affect on your health and wellbeing than you’d think. By using tools like the aromaharmony unit in your home or bedroom along with therapeutic grade essential oils you can really use this sense to your advantage instead of letting it be 100% influenced by your environment at any given time. You can create an environment that engages your sense of smell to instruct your body (nervous system, stress hormones, brain clutter) to disengage and relax, and that is one of the biggest challenges in living healthy and well, to fully disengage, relax and de-stress.

I hope this information and video have added value to your life, if so please leave your comments below and share this on facebook, email it to a friend and allow others to benefit from this as well.

Thanks for your time and dedication to living a Healthy Wild And Free life!
